In the past couple of months, I've heard a lot about "zones" in Allentown. But where exactly are they? Do they overlap? To answer these questions, I uploaded them in Google Maps so that anybody can have access to this map. Here's the legend:

Green - "The Zone" as defined by the United Way of Greater Lehigh Valley
Blue - The Revitalization Project, funded by Wachovia
Purple (or Magenta?) - Weed and Seed Target Area
Orange - Old Allentown

I'm in!

After months of debating if I should do it or not, finally I decided that it's my turn to start blogging! I might have some interesting thoughts about life, GIS, geography and travel and maybe some of you will learn a few things (I hope, if not...I'm wasting my time). The hardest part is deciding in which language should I write? Romanian so my mom and grandma can understand or should I write in English for a broader audience? For now I'll stick to English, but I might have posts in Romanian as well...
